AR Base Late-June 2021 Review of his 'Raging Soul' Album

One line says it all - 'Social Media Madness.' This was an incredibly unique song with a message regarding the Social Media Craze that has boggled many minds across the board. The mastering and mixing of this song was very professional and the beat itself proved that this artist knows what an impeccable music-style entails. The message is powerful and would be a nice song for Christians and others to enjoy for years to come!

I played the song 'Borderline' and I heard a great Christian Artist who has a great grip of modern musical knowledge. This song reminded me of how some are preaching that we should not be lukewarm or on the borderline. For a Christian, that means give God our all. The song has a very hip, dance beat with electric instrumentals. It's an incredibly created song. The message is awesome with a great serenade to Jesus as the song continues.

This is definitely an album that I will play for months and years to come. It's very unique and sets this artist on a noticeable plateau as we hear incredible runs and great melodies as the music plays.

'Gym Rules' reminded me of one of those great Hip Hop melodies from the 2005-2011 era. The artist is awesome and will be one of my favorite Christian Artists. What an awesome album! Time to save these songs to my Google Drive Account. Amen! And 'Praise Him Anyway!'

Is There An Ego Problem Within The Christian Music Industry?

9/23/2019

With so many Gospel and Christian Artists investing into their 'spiritual craft;' one may wonder how come there isn't a reunion or gathering of some sort to reverence and concede as in show more outward affection for Jesus Christ. Many have argued that egostical traits and self-conceit have impeded the momentum of a National or even International Celebration of Christian and Gospel Music.

Are new artists waiting on older Gospel and Christian Legends to pass on or to exit the Music Industry so that vibrant, newer artists can show authentic gratitude for Christ? Perhaps, this is a possibility. However, Gospel Legends such as Mahalia Jackson and others have helped bring out spiritual outbursts within the souls of many across the world. So there were powerful impacts regarding Christian and Gospel Music. But many Christians are perhaps waiting on a Spiritual Revival or Gospel Revolution in which new artists will bring a new anointing, if you will, to the forefront.

Some say that a powerful showcase with fire and lights would be an awesome Concert Environment for Christian Rock Artists. They say 'if they can rock for the world, we can rock for Jesus!' That is certainly worth noting. America has tended to awaken in ways when there are extremely illustrious artists arising and performing. But people may have grown tired of following famous people. In Christian and Gospel Music, there is a greater purpose. The true Christian Artist must deny themselves and show outward dedication to God and also so that people will worship God instead of the artist. Christians do believe we 'serve God or man.' So the Gospel Artist is definitely wanting for music supporters to lift hands to Christ and give him praise.

There are various ways that Christian Music could go. There could be a Folk-influence and more of an Electric-Influence as many under the age of 30 are still inclined to listen to an EDM, underground instrumental beat. So there are many opportunities for Christian Artists these days. Are they making an impact or is the ego hindering growth chances in Christianity? Maybe, more preachers could pastor regarding humblings and perhaps artists would be more willing to work together and have a good time praising Jesus Christ. That would be a 'letting go of self' statute and a 'loving thy neighbor' rule. There are so many talented Christian Artists. It would be a shame if they couldn't congregate and entertain millions in America or across the world. There is a purpose. Forgiveness is great. And so is the thought of building up one another and teaching others to not kill. In a climate with so many mass murders and violence, Christian Music is vital. There has been longevity, yet we're seeing a shift in Christian Thought. Many are longing to hear more than Traditional and Contemporary Gospel and hoping to hear more 'Praise and Worship' Songs in which many have new age instrumentals.

It'll be interesting to see the change in the Christian/Gospel Music Industries. Some are desiring that religious jargon and condemnation of various groups based on personal vendettas must go in order for there to be a powerful, Christian Movement within Music. It could happen. The new age shows that many are wanting to see a different Christian Revival and Revolution. One where people can express themselves without having to wear a suit and tie would be appealing to many.  Also, many are hoping to witness a Christian Revival where many say 'God sees me as I am regardless of style, sexual preference, denomination and musical style.'  People want to express themselves in various ways in Christian Music such as: dyed hair, various rocker outfits and more.
Some may want to perform to Christian Pop. Some may want to do a Christian Hip Hop Dance instead of traditional Church Praise Dances. There are so many options. God is vast. So we'll be on the lookout to see if people are letting go of egos and coming together to 'love' and 'love to perform for God together as one body in Christ.' That would be the way to go. Letting go of one's ego in Christian Music is defintely the way it's supposed to go. ROCK ON for THE ROCK OF AGES YA"LL!

What’s Next for the Gospel Music Arena?

What’s Next for the Gospel Music Arena?

Where is the love, Revival and powerful anointing? ‘One may ask Christians and others certainly may perceive that things are a little off these days as far as Gospel Music goes. Years ago, we’d hear talk of Hillsong, the News Boys, Kirk Franklin and Mary Mary. Many in the world couldn’t fathom a generation Gaither-less and without the powerful sounds in reference to the name Jesus. From hymnals to stylish Gospel Jams, Christian Music has been an impressively, beautiful musical delight for centuries. But where is the popular genre headed?
These days, countless Black Gospel Artists are delivering awe-inspiring album artwork on Instagram and Facebook. But who sincerely goes above and beyond to bring awareness and prestigious recognition in reference to such powerful artists? Gospel Music isn’t dead. This temp-phase merely seems to be a hibernation period. It’s like some artists are in an incubation period, awaiting the next Big Revival. But this time will it be less religious? Will we see Tattooed Christian Hip Hop and Christian Rock Artists who tell the TRUE JOURNEY behind life and battling strongholds to cling on to God’s unchanging hand as many say? There is a real struggle. Christian Artists have given powerful testimonies through music for ages.
There are artists performing Gospel, but who is the mainstream risk taker to once again bring Jesus to the White House or to grace sold out stages across America? With admirable and notable talents, Christian Artists from all backgrounds are inspiring Indie Gospel Artists to remain ‘steadfast’ while continuously recording breathtaking runs, sumptuous organ sounds and while hopefully singing perhaps Classical Masterpieces in palatial churches both domestic to America and abroad internationally. There is hope. Christian Artists are still manifesting as we see an evincing on Social Media where Christians are whole-heartedly and earnestly sharing Scripture, songs and fervent love for Jesus.
So Gospel Music still surpasses thoughts of adversaries. Christians have genuinely created, gorgeous pages to spread immense compassion and to show their dedication for Jesus. And Gospel Music is prevalent as well. Perhaps a strikingly, exuberant promoter will gain notoriety with sincerity and we’ll continue hearing wondrous hymnals and Gospel Chords. Bluesy Gospel and other various styles of Christian Music is on the rise again. Let’s hear and be receptive to a wondrous genre which touches the heart and soul. Gospel Music is still a decadent sounding music genre.

What are your thoughts about the LA Film School? Are They Scamming? Or Legitimate? Email for queries --- CatchGigs.Space@Gmail.com

As the writer, it is best to stay objective and not be biased. But someone reached out to me in regards to being swindled. They allege that The LA Film School is the culprit. They have not been reached yet by me, but there are two sides to every story. But the allegations do follow below. We'd love to protect Singers and Musicians from scams anyway possible. But if it's legitimate, we'd love to give honor instead. JasonBrye.com is legitimate and scammers, whomever they be, make reputable companies look bad. But the LA Film School allegations follow:

While corresponding with an anonymous person, it was discovered that a party that she knows was allegedly ripped off  by the Los Angeles Film School based out in Southern California. Publicity was needed to expose this matter. The person concerned stated that this school has been sued before on numerous occasions. Upon research, the Los Angeles Film School has indeed been cited before for lewd behavior or more. This new person alleges that school credits didn’t transfer for her party and that they were swindled by the school. They claim a degree of non-professionalism is prevalent and that they were not content with how matters were handled. In their feelings, they make one believe that this school is dysfunctional. The party would like retribution or even for exposure regarding their trials with this school. If anyone else has stories regarding the alleged school of wrongful operations – The LA Film School, please email: CatchGigs.Space@Gmail.com. What are your thoughts? Have you heard anything? What are measures to rectify the situations? Are there class action lawsuits? Let’s get involved with helping one another. When people are allegedly scammed by large corporations, schools or companies; their voices should be heard.

Below you’ll find ‘emailed dialogue’ from the anonymous person voicing their complaint. It is below the link for Writer Jason Brye.

The school literally promised students full-time school hours and to provide at best, part-time school hours for a full-time tuition. Hours were so random that it made it impossible for these students to even attempt to work outside of school. Their schedules changed on a monthly basis and they would have as little as two days a week and  a few hours a day of actual classes. They make promises of connections and internships that are non-existent which is key in many fields. They promise professional teachers and staff and they are all just part-time people that are not even properly compensated by the school.(there have been several suits from the employees as well)  They have no full-time employees at all and have a woman represent their school as their Attorney, but she is not even registered with the California Bar Association. There has already been a class-action law suit and over 25 law suits on record, but that does not account for the multiple other suits that don't go on record after they are forced to settle.  They have deep pocketed insurance and they bully people into settling and signing non-disclosure agreements to remain silent.  What these kids don't understand is that just because they signed the agreement does not Mean keep their friends or family from having a voice. The Los Angeles Film School is at best another Trump University scam that is just waiting to be shut down.  They pressure these people into signing contracts that they never show or explain to them on a computer and leave them with mountains of debt when selling them "cheap" student loans which are not cheap in the long run. And worst of all is that they take the G.I bills from our veterans and leave them with disappointment and wasted years.

AR BASE/PRESS ON'S 'GRIEVOUS WORDS' ALBUM REVIEW

5/24/2018

AR BASE/PRESS ON corresponded with me in regards to his Gospel R&B with Neo-Soul Flairs. I played the single ‘Be Still’ and first I thought of ‘NSYNC;’ which is not to be condescending, but I heard Pop-styles which reminded me of the very popular 90’s band. I could not compare him to a known Male Gospel Artist because his style was one of a kind. However, I did listen some more and heard ‘Usher-style sounds,’ but of course it’s Gospel. The runs and chords were very melodious and the instrumentals were resonant. The instrumentals were mixed very well without faltering. The ‘Grievous Words’ Album was nicely mastered. I love R&B and I love Christian R&B so the music in the background made me ascertain that this conourous Artist put in a lot of effort and he harmonized very well. The lyrics were a brain teaser and not simple. I was well-pleased and I was thinking and saying to myself, ‘I’m hearing expressive musicality in a vocalist who could hit high notes to near perfection.’ The ending was a  ‘touchdown finish.’ ‘Be Still’ is encouraging and uplifting and It’s a song of profound thought. Inspiration is an under statement. I was empowered beyond what many artists could do. I thought ‘think positive’ when listening to the could be classic single. The complexity is amazingly challenging in the song and it took a very skilled vocalist to render R&B and Gospel so well. It made me love praising Jesus while listening. I will note that the music reminded me of Trinitee from the 90’s. It is a powerful single.
Upon listening to the single ‘Grievous Words’ from the Gospel R&B Album of fine detail, I immediately thought of Tamia as it pertains to the instrumentals. The melodies were laid back and ‘chill.’ I loved lines in the lyrics such as ‘no judging more, praying and quietness is strength. In regards to God, that is very true.  We know we must ‘be still and know that he is the Lord thy God. Amen. AR BASE exemplified a true anointing which is unmatched. The background vocals flowed smoothly together and it seemed as if this vocalist had been singing for decades. His voice was not pitchy and he took very sound musical risks as a great singer. I would not want to see him as an underrated artist. He is a great musical talent and I heard his passion for Christ in each line. R&B is a good genre when producing Christian Music. I heard soulfulness in each note with that classic R&B, laid back touch as well. And I was still reminded of R&B Artists when listening to his music. Cause I thought of Musiq Soulchild. Yes, Neo-Soul was expressed too. I wondered if AR BASE would produce a Christmas Song. I think he’d be great in singing something for the Holidays too. I was awed in how the believability of his authentic anointing helped gravitate my praise to a higher level. He’s bona fide. He’s assiduous and adept at making good music. I was happy to hear an artist know how to construct great songs. The music reinvigorated the passion within me for making more music with R&B additions. What’s great also is the originality of each single and he didn’t seem to be brain picking cause his singles were one of a kind with a taste of familiarity. He is raw talent with professionalism. I’m looking forward to hearing more music from this incredible artist. The album artwork was preformed and noticeable. And I’m looking forward to watching this artist soar, God-willing. Don’t forget to check him out. Hear his music now. You’d probably be a supporter. Blessings to you.

Christian Artist Francesca Battistelli

I haplessly pondered about the next Christian Artist that I would blog about. I happened to search for Christian Artists online and I found Francesca Battistelli. I listened to her song 'Giants Fall' and to my surprise, I heard something like a Christian Kelly Clarkston. Her voice was sultry, soulful and also filled with rockability. Francesca's demeanor was powerful, yet not self-glorifying. The mixing and mastering on 'Giants Fall' was priceless. I felt like I was transcending towards an optimal place towards heaven when listening to this powerful tune. The song was unisexual and it reminded me of the 'Goliaths' which I faced in my own life. There was uniformness in the song, but it was different. The beginning reminded me of a great indie prelude leading to an extravagant culmination towards excellence. I do admire Christian Rock and Christian Pop and my spirit was fed both with soul and power. I'd love to listen to more of Francesca Battistelli's music and I look forward to more videos. Check her out!

Gloria Chinonye Ukah A.K.A. ***GLOW***

I was checking my DiscipleforCHRIST.org Facebook Group page and I stumbled upon Glow's delightful Gospel music and I was drawn into her appealing sound. Her song 'Good to Me' was captivating and it was indeed splendid. The opening was similar to a major 80s dance hit to me. I was thinking the music was like a Gospel version of 'Jody Watley' or even 'Natalie Cole.' She was commanding in the Gospel, but her voice was very soft. It mixed well. I wanted to dance to the jam right away. And we do dance for God at times. However, Glow's conservative Christian demeanor is in no way worldly, but I would compare her sound to a Gospel version of previous stars who reached the world through dynamic music. It had old-school flavor mixed in with modern and futuristic chords. I attended a Nigerian Church and learned that there are different styles in regards to Nigerian Music. I even watched some of my Nigerian Church members do some traditional dances. Well this song will make you want to move and groove. I loved the instruments and subtle beats. It was jazzy, yet Gospel. It reminded me of the upbeat sounds in my song 'I Been Changed.' Glow sang very well. She was also very unpredictable in her chords and verses. The song 'Good to Me' is one of those JAMS that you'd keep repeating on your music player. It was lively, artistic and full of happy praises to Jesus. I now have a new artist to listen to and look out for. Her devotion to music is very apparent as we can hear that she invested a lot of good vibes and vibrant energy into her musical craft. Praise God for her! I would definitely recommend that you check her music out. And her Reverbnation link follows:

Blesson the (8 year old) Christian Rapper

I was immediately compelled when I saw a post in my 'DiscipleforCHRIST.org Facebook Group.' It was a blessing to see Blesson's video post and he was performing a very clean rap in regards to Jesus Christ. I personally do sing Gospel and I am very open to posting in regards to Musicians of various genres outside of Christianity. But something struck me as intriguing when hearing young artist, Blesson. I never heard a guy so young with such lyrical masterpieces as he possesses. To know Jesus at an early age, and then rap about Him with extreme fluidity is very rare. And Blesson's performance was truly heaven sent. I saw superstar on the rise when I saw Blesson's video. To be so young, he is covered in anointing, spunk, life and charisma. He must have clever people raising him and I encourage you to check out his music sounds. They will send chills through your spine even if you do not prefer rap. Christian Rap has turned into a extremely, lively genre. We hear exuberant stories, charm, a struggle and triumphant moments. Blesson's music does encourage us to live good lives. It's inspirational, witty and eccentric. To learn more about Blesson, please visit his Facebook Page:  https://www.facebook.com/BLESSONTHERAPPER/
